By now most of us have heard of the amazing benefits of lavender for sleep and relaxation. But do we know how to use this magical herb? Here are a few ideas:

1. Tea Time
Put the herb in a tea. Perhaps even mix it with another relaxation herbs: chamomile. The warmness of the tea mixed with the soothing powers of lavender are sure to calm your nerves.

2. Bed Time
Lavender essential oil is a must have near the night stand. Put a couple drops on your pillow just before bed and you are sure to experience purple and velvety dreams tonight!

3. DIY Salve
Had a stressful day at work? Why not rub some lavender infused salve on your temples? You can make your own salve by infusing the herb with an oil (try coconut or olive oil), straining the plant matter and then adding a little beeswax for firmness.

4. Bath Time
Place a few drops of essential lavender oil into your bath for an amazing aromatic escape. Before doing so dilute it with another oil and for the little ones only use 1 or 2 drops.
